Meet Ina

Principal, Owner & Founder

Ina obtained her BPrim Degree from the University of Pretoria, after which she started teaching Grade 1 learners in 1979 for 5 years. Being a mother herself and with her passion for early childhood development, she was encouraged by her late husband to start her own nursery school for young children. Ina opened her first school called “Wonderland” in 1985, which she successfully owned and managed for over 15 years. In 2001, Ina had a new vision for a school in a growing, young and upcoming Van Riebeeckshof neighbourhood. She immediately pursued her vision and collaborated with developers to create and build Kido Kids and opened their doors in 2002.

Ina has an impressive track record in childcare, with more than 40 years experience working within the early childhood development sector having 1000s of children pass through and graduate from her schools and care. Ina has earned her reputation as a leading educator in her field, therefore, school parents can be proud to send their young ones to Kido Kids.

Ina has 3 beautiful adult children who have a great appreciation for their mother’s passion for education. Her children have gone onto obtaining professional qualifications and careers of their own.

Ina works tirelessly, and when asked how she has achieved this, her response is simple; her love and passion for children.

Ina’s devotion and vision for Kido Kids is ever-growing, as is her love and passion for providing the best care and education for children.
